I just wanted to announce that I have finished designing and making a batch of CNC machined aluminium case for Khadas VIM2.
The case has a surface to the CPU to work as a passive heatsink. Two SMA connectors for external antennas.
The case weights 158g and dimensions are 100mm x 63mm x 20mm.

So the wait is over and I’m really excited to have my VIM3 boards here! (thanks to @willow for sorting everything out - great service from Khadas as always!) I will be making these ones into a scalable CPU miner. Will post progress here and also planning to open source all the design files for the case, the backplane PCBs and software so anyone else can build as well. Probably not going to be a fast build as have too much other stuff on at the moment!

I’m a neural network inference engine researcher now working for OPEN AI LAB ，when i integrated Amlogic NPU backend to neural network inference engine Tengine , i found that a plastic shell was badly needed when some one connect camera and screen with a VIM3 .

Thought I would share some progress on my new project - decided i should use at least one of my VIM3 for something other than crypto mining and its heading towards summer so thought i would make a water auto turret for my daughter for fun in the garden this year! Connects to a standard hosepipe fitting and runs on a 12v battery so nice an portable as well!
