Defect VIM3

received my VIM3 Pro today.

NIC ist NOT working…

no RX… testet wiht multiple Roms and cable. what can i do?
WLAN is working
give manual IP is NOT working.

i testet 3 different Routers multiple Images and multiple Cables… so i think it is an Hardware error.
what can i do?

Have you tried the Khadas Official ROM? and can you provide us the ROM version you installed?

VIM3_Pie_V190809.7z
VIM3_Ubuntu-xfce-bionic_Linux-4.9_arm64_EMMC_V20190813.7z and the latest Coreelec.
Same issue on all ROMS

Sorry to trouble you.
From your description, I suspect that there is a problem with the RJ45 connection, but from this picture,I’m still not sure RJ45 is connect ok or not, please help me to confirm this:

• your routers and cable could work normally at other device(such as PC), right?

• please help me to take a picture to show the network chip,i want to check if any conductive objects have fallen into the pins of the network chip.
  

  

• use something to check the RJ45 all pin is already connect ok.
  be careful that: use a little force, but not too much. if RJ45 connect not ok,the pin will move a little bit.

from your dmesg, I wonder why RX is 0, but it can be assigned to an IP address

I did some test, but never meet your situation.

Of course i become no IP When the Port is broken. When i give a static IP it will Not work too.

When i put the VIM3 into my Network all my Network Ports of al my Switches blinking like hell.

Sorry but my VIM3 is. Ist usable without network

Is it possible to check a short circuit between 1, 2, 3 contacts? Can I take a clearer photo of this place? Defect VIM3

Very similar to spreading solder paste, try scrubbing with a wooden toothpick and rinsing with ethanol (ethyl alcohol) or another similar rinsing liquid.

i try it… will not work.
i try it on my work with Cisco Switch. my DHCP want to give the VIM a IP. but he doesnt take it. because of no RX bytes.
i tried it with 100Mbit
my VIM3 has a physical error…

i never see this before… only on a defect Lan Card.
