try modprobe hid-multitouch
with this image
I’m a bit confused. Should uname -a return Jun 7 ? I’ve flashed latest image from you , but uname shows Jun 6th and hid-multitouch not found again.
root@Khadas:~# modprobe hid-multitouch
modprobe: FATAL: Module hid-multitouch not found in directory /lib/modules/4.9.224
root@Khadas:~# uname -a
Linux Khadas 4.9.224 #3 SMP PREEMPT Sat Jun 6 13:15:17 IST 2020 aarch64 aarch64 aarch64 GNU/Linux
it is because the module was compiled as module outside the kernel hence the kernel was not recompiled
My God @Archangel1235, how are you able to whip out so many images at this rate, perhaps you are using an AMD Threadripper for the image compilation process
Thank you! I’ll try tomorrow
YES! It works! Thanks a lot, now touch works for me. Can you explain how did you manag to do that?
Wow, @ClownMik you finally managed to make it work,
Better Give Thanks to @Archangel1235 for helping you as well,
ask him how to add it as well, it will aid you in the future when you need it,
good day!
good to know… someone else was asking for recommendation for touch screen maybe they can use the touch screen panel you are using
@Archangel1235 please tell @ClownMik the changes in the configs you made,
so it will be useful for not only him but also other people who wish to use the Screen
Technically now we can use any of the touch related Waveshare LCDs
perhaps your firmware needs to be placed on the Khadas server so that the link does not die!
i will post instructions to build the image here
then the instruction then needs to be separately placed so that it is in sight!
but this is at the discretion of the guys from Khadas, these are just wishes!
Also it would be great to know how to build this image for EMMC
oh that’s not hard at all, just do sudo emmc-install
on the terminal , with that image booted on the SD card, and it will copy that image over to the eMMC
Blockquote I also built and tested an image for vim3 using the same config
Can you put image for vim3 on google?
I have the same problem on vim3.
@hlebanet it is here,
May be stupid question, but Images for vim1 and vim3 is the same?
I am not sure, try changing the dtb file, it should be there in a folder,
1.copy the kvim_3.dtb file out of the folder and place it in the main BOOT directory,
2.delete the existing dtb.img file
3.take the kvim_3.dtb file and rename it to dtb.img
I believe this should work for you
no it won’t work… You need a fresh image
