What are the news. edge ,edge v

what a pity not to be able to use it, with an android better than the one delivered with a real calamity.

What do you mean?
Android Pie is released tomorrow.

You haven’t buy the Khadas USB-C 24W Adapter? You can also use any USB-C Adapter, and the default voltage output for Edge-V is 12V if powered by a USB-C Adapter.

@Gouwa

of course I took the Khadas USB-C 24W with the cable usb-c.

but not got the cable that goes with

I used the khadas vim 2, it works

the usb-c cable of the vim2 with the charger works on the edge v. the cable that I have in usb-c with adapter works on the vim2.
I will recommend usb-c cable.

we must believe that usb-c cables are very important for the power of the edge.

I forgot aswell to buy the Khadas Adapter. I read somewhere that 20V work on Edge-V is that true? I have a 20V - 2250 mA charger (but also does 12V - 2000 mA) but don’t wanna fry the board.

Is it a standard USB-C Adapter with USB PD Feature?

Our official Edge-V ROMs will set the voltage as 12V for USB-C Adapter over USB PC(need a cable with CC pins).

Yes, a USB-A to USB-C cable don’t have CC Pins, and cannot set the voltage which can only deliver the default voltage of 5V.(not sure if it can still deliver 3A current due to the USB-A cable).

We recommend a USB-C male to male cable for 24W USB-C Adapter, and our software set the voltage as 12V now.

Do I understand correctly that you bought and paid for kit power supply together with USB cable-C, but did not send you cabel-C (sent, only the power supply) ?

@balbes150

yes, got the power, but not the cable.

I took it on indiegogo

Can you provide us the order number of Indiegogo, we will check here if we miss the cable when shipping.

seven months, no problem, I ordered it.

I have also received my EdgeV with the power adapter, but WITHOUT the USB-C cable. Indiegogo contributions 129, 130 and 131. Hopefully you can send it in the next shipping with the Cooling Fan?

Actually, I was quite surprised how small the thing is! For some reason I expected at least a double size. It is very nice, however. I am only missing some decent box (the paper box is actually very nice too! If it only were made of proper plastic with proper holes! :smiley: ) I should probably get to learn 3D printing, eventually, if I had the time. :frowning:

By the way, it’s a good idea if you make a plastic version of the package, you can use the package as a universal case to model design. :slight_smile:

I can teach you 3D printing and CAD design. :smile:

It ain’t that difficult.

Actually Khadas started with the idea of being simple and environmentally friendly - our original box was this recycled-looking brown paper thing (of course the EVA foam wasn’t awesome, but that was needed to prevent the plastic case from getting damaged).

The new black box is actually better as it does away with the EVA foam. Less is more.

Well, I guess I would rather order your DIY case now, to be send with the remaining Cooling Fan, is it possible? How?

Will you also send the USB-C cable that was expected to come with the power adapter, but did not arrive?

Hi @wanthalf,

@Kingsley says that we will send it out together with your DIY case and the cooling fan.

When you order the DIY Case, you can leave a note during checkout “please remember to include USB-C male-to-male cable, and cooling fan (Indiegogo)”.

Sorry for the inconvenience!

Any plans for a 7 inch touchscreen? If not, will you sell the daughterboard apart?
