Hi and_chu,
Thanks for your waitting, the APP support BT Magic will be release at August or September. After APP release, you could update the BT Magic firmware by OTA, and this volume issue will be fixup.
Hello @kenny, hope you are doing well.
Is there any update on this issue? I saw a new Khadas Android App, however looks like it does not support BT Magic yet, is that right?
Hi and_chu,
BT Magic APP has not been released yet, but it has passed the test, and is currently preparing for release. Thank you for your patience, BT Magic APP will be released soon. Thanks
hello,
Is the date of the app’s release confirmed?
(support bt magic)
Hi mush09,
Thanks for your waitting, Khadas Audio APP already released, please search “Khadas Audio” in your phone’s app store. The latest version of the APP has added support for the BT Magic module. If you have downloaded the APP earlier, please update the APP. Enjoy, thanks.
Oh, thank you for the answer.
I saw it before that it supports eq(tone2pro bt), but is that still the feature?
Hi mush09,
The early batches Tone2 Pro does not support APP control input source switching, and other functions are not affected. thanks
Oh that’s a bummer:(
I have an early batch device. I installed the app, it recognized my T2P, I then updated the BT firmware to 1.1. Unfortunately, since then I no longer get sound over BT. When I press ‘play’ there is a silent click and that’s all. When i press ‘stop’ there is another click in the headphones and sometimes a little bit of static noise, but no music ever plays. Could you please advise?
The FW upgrade showed no errors, I tried powering the T2P off and on again, tried unpairing and pairing again, tried switching LDAC off, but nothing makes any difference.
My T2P is on firmware 1.41. The USB connection works fine.
Hi Grulmlurg,
Please check:
- the volume setting is too small?
- Tone2 Pro’s input source select not I2S?
If that not works, please take a screenshot for APP’s Device Information page, and take picture/video for BT Magic Indicator led. Thanks
Hi @kenny, thanks for the response. Yes, the input and volume settings are fine - I used BT magic for months without problems, before installing the app and running the BT FW update.
I can clearly hear the static noises in my headphones when playing over BT. The light slowly pulses in white, as I’m connecting with LDAC. As said above, disabling LDAC does not help.
Attaching pics and screenshots.
Hi Grulmlurg,
Thanks for your feedback. This seems to be fine. Tone2 Pro has communicated with the APP through BT Magic, which means the input source settings are correct. The light display also indicates that Bluetooth has parsed the LDAC sound. The Bluetooth firmware version v1.1 is also correct, indicating that BT Magic has been successfully upgraded. Let me think about it.
Please try:
- Power down Tone2 Pro and plug and unplug BT Magic, then powerup again to have a try.
- Just to confirm again, in addition to the volume setting on the Tone2 Pro device (which should be around 50% from your picture), please try turning the volume of the mobile device connected to the BT Magic to maximum.
- Try to play with AAC/SBC/aptX instead of LDAC to see if there is a difference
Thanks
