READ THE BUGS SECTION FOR UNNECESSARY QUESTIONS!!!
YOU NEED TO HAVE COOLING IN YOU VIM, SINCE THIS ROM RUN A BIT HOTTER THAN NORMAL!
ON FIRST BOOT AFTER YOU LOGIN PLS LET THE BOX IDLE FOR A FEW MINUTES SO IT UPDATED ALL THE SYSTEM APPS FROM STORE… OR JUST GO TO PLAYSTORE AND SEE IT UPDATING…
THIS IS A W.I.P. SO EXPECT BUGS…

Changelog SCV1:

  • Brand new rom.
  • As close to default Oreo Android TV as possible
  • DEFAULT UNROOTED

Bugs SCV1:

  • Dont use internal video players to play video files… Use Kodi 18 beta 5 or others…
  • Many more i bet…

Thanks for your work and time superceleron.

To users, I want to reiterate what superceleron says about using a heatsink/fan. This ROM does run to the hot side, so please heed his words on a cooling solution.

Should make some ATV users happy. :slight_smile:

I’ve read about running Kodi on Android, it seemed that there are very little devices support Frame Rate Matching, e.g. Nvidia Shield. Does this rom on VIM support Frame Rate Matching?

My second silly question is that would it be possible to have this burnt into the eMMC and support dual boot?

So that I can boot to Android for Youtube and switch to CoreELEC for movies.

Hello - thanks for the ROM.

Could anyone confirm that Netflix is working on this version - Netflix is broken on my 7.1 ROM. I hate Netflix.

Any other noteable bugs to report?

Nope, Netflix is not working. Getting an error when i start Netflix.

Android TV netflix wont work on any box other than the ones that have wedevine L1 and even that ones only on the ones that dont have the key banned by netflix…!
Use “Normal” mobile netflix!

just one more stupid question - is there a 7.1 ATV release for VIM? I can’t seem to find one

I said 7.1 in my previous post but realised it’s actually 6.0
