so, tell me, what kind of toppings do you want on that heatsink ?
Because i figure that heatsink has the fan over the CPU and i figured it would be a better sink to try and modify, the fins are over the rest of the board, the fan is over the CPU so that area is flat and we could bolt a heat pipe, or glue a larger sink to that flat area which is right over the CPU so that older sink is a GREAT platform to build from dont you think? being flat and right ove rthe CPU i would think would transfer heat the best?

No need of the old heatsink, it will be a mess, and since the heat conduction rate reduces over longer distances, it will be useless…
That being said, just stick that supercooler right on top of the CPU, stick it with some Thermal epoxy and you will be good to go
