@ls_lj The most important thing is to upgrade to Android 13. Some issues with Android 12 versions are automatically resolved once upgraded to Android 13. We will only maintain the Android 13 version code in the future.

Yes you will have to install it manually with the steps provided, it’s still a beta image and not intended for ootb usage.

i notice that the playback of 1080p and 4k av1 video files is not hardware decoded.

i tried playback on kodi and other players but the result is the same.

What AV1 are you trying to play?
RK3588 doesn’t support AV1 HDR or AV1 10-Bit, only 8-Bit which makes it basically useless as a video codec.

Your file is 10-bit and you will see the colors are either washed out, green or it tries to get software decoded which will result in lots of dropped frames.
The Video Output Processor can only do 8-Bit AV1 color output even if the Video Processing Unit can decode 10-Bit AV1.
A very dumb mistake from Rockchip for not testing AV1 before they designed the chipset.
Try a 8-Bit AV1 file or VP9 that correctly outputs 10-Bit color.

I haven’t tried 8Bit because it has no interest for movies and series nowadays
