I am using the edge 2 with the uperfect oled 16 display. Connection is by type c dp cable, which gives video and power to my display. On android 12, I cannot get any sound from the built in monitor speakers. Please help with this.

Hello, what version of firmware are you using. Is it the official version of khadas or a self compiled version. Could you please provide the version number?
Can you test it using Android 14? Android 14 is the version we are currently primarily maintaining, while Android 12 has not been updated.
I am using the official vesrion from Khadas. I was using the latest Android 12 firmware v230625.img.
I have upgraded to Android 13 v241206 and my issue has now been solved. Sound is now coming from the monitor through the type c alt disp connection.
Can I do still do an OTA upgrade from my Android 13 to Android 14 version you listed? Or need to do fresh install?

You can upgrade through the following methods:
(1) Upgrade using USB burning tool.
(2) Upgrade using oowow.
I want to upgrade and preserve my existing apps, data and configuration. Which is the recommended route?

Currently, ota upgrades across android versions are not supported.
