Which is better for audio music player system, VIM3 or VIM3L?

I bought the VIM3 to construct an audio player unit for my car but after doing a lot of reading I’m wondering if the VIM3? might be a better choice.

Anyone have opinions on this?

I guess for just music the 3L should be good.
I have taken the 3L + Tone board for a music player application. Lets see how it works out.
