Sorry, but at $219, despite my initial anticipation plus loads of enthusiasm, I’m out. The VIM4 is simply overpriced when Firefly is currently selling an RK3588S board with a Pi4 like size, at the same price point, and Radxa has a full fledged RK3588 board going for well less.
Don’t compare only office.
You need to compare many things.
I think both soc will be close enough but maybe rk3588 still be little better if the drivers are good.
Rk3588 is going to be expensive device if taken as full size mini itx board. While for rk3588s and radxa ro ck5 those are devkit price but actual production price might be higher. It all depends on chip inventory.
Lets see what will happen when both soc have better software support.
