My VIM4 keeps powering off after a couple of days. What can be done?

@mikev1963 Can you describe in detail, is it unable to boot or restarting repeatedly?

after VIM4 is running for a day or two I come back and see the power to the device is off. I have to unplug the power USB C cable and replug it in.

I am getting a lot of these errors in /var/log/syslog:

I guess the Khadas engineer does not care if the product works or not.

These information is not harmful.

  • Which system you used? Ubuntu or Android?
  • What application you have running?
  • How you identify the device is poweroff? What’s the status of LED at that time?

Then why does the device power off after a day or two

Hello @mikev1963

Please reply the questions above, we need more information from your side.

Thanks.

  • Which system you used? Ubuntu or Android? ubuntu server no guy
  • What application you have running? none.
  • How you identify the device is poweroff? What’s the status of LED at that time? NONE. It just powers off.

Here is what is in the logs right before it powered off:

Aug 30 13:17:09 khadas wpa_supplicant[708]: wlan1: Reject scan trigger since one is already pending
Aug 30 13:17:10 khadas systemd[1]: systemd-rfkill.service: Deactivated successfully.
Aug 30 13:17:10 khadas NetworkManager[674]: [1661865430.5680] manager: startup complete

Could you provide the full logs? There logs are not enough.

And we need more informations:

  • What’s the power supply you used? It is our 24W PD adaptor?
  • Which image you used? It is version 220721 ?

Did you get the logs and email I replied to?
