It worked on Debian11 (older kernel) - but no longer on Debian 12

I just tried Fenix 1.6.5 and it didnt work either (built in May)
Linux Khadas 5.15.119 #1.6.5 SMP PREEMPT Wed May 8 20:35:45 BST 2024 aarch64 GNU/Linux

About Debian 11, what’s the kernel version? And Debian 12, do you use the same kernel ?

I only use Fenix to build… so its whatever is there!

@numbqq Will this be progressed? I have reproduced with GStreamer too using the v4l hardware decoder. The commands dont work on Ubuntu downloaded from OOWOW either.

I have reproduce this issue with ffmpeg rtsp and will check this issue.

You mean gstreamer play local file also has this issue? Which image and how to reproduce?

There are bigger issues… I have home assistant running on them and None survive more than 3 days without the Debian12 kernel crasing and rebooting. Not even doing anything stressful on them.

I done some investigation… I have tried on a D2 revB and revC. I installed a Debian11 (which used to work!) and it fails the same too. When I tested it in 2023 (Ffmpeg and hardware h264 decode - #16 by RichardPar)

Something has been regressed since April 2023.

UPDATE - Non standard video resolutions crash driver:

I have 2 files with the same content and different resolution. My Camera feeds are 640x352 but when I inut this file it crashes. I resample video to 640x384 and it works. On Old working drivers, I notice that the v4l2m2m code is changing the resolution from 640x352 to 640x384 and adding a large green bar to the bottom of the video. The Linux driver is changing the video frame size on the working driver.

On the Broken Debian, the driver crashes when I input a video that is not a usual size. Copying data from a 640x384 buffer to a destination of 640x352 will go very badly.
If you want the 2 files, I will gladly upload. just tell me where to upload.
