Please describe your issue below:

Are there any issues with self compiled mainline u-boot and mainline kernel using fenix (seems to be 5.19 or higher)?
Will sound over hdmi, i2s (overlay), spdif work.
Will uart3 (overlay) work?
Can we expect stable images based on this u-boot and kernel?
Any plan to stick to an LTS kernel?

I know, many questions, but some should be easy to answer I guess

It seems broken for VIM3L, we need to check.

For stable kernel, suggest to use the 4.9 kernel.

We are currently using 4.9 for our production image, but there is a request for mainline.
Meanwhile, Fenix seems to be configured for 6.0.0
Modifying config/config.conf back to 5.18 did not have any effect, it always downloads the 6.0.0 tar file.
So I built the .deb files for kernel 6.0.0 and will use this to build our volumio test image.
The other choice would have been Armbian’s meson kernel with 5.10.y, but there are issues with a test version I built and therefore the idea was dropped.

@gkkpch Please use our latest 6.0 firmware, the UART function is normal.
