VIM3 - Bluetooth wont discover

I have a VIM3 running android, and for the life of me cannot work out why it will not detect my bluetooth device. Does it have any kind of filtering associated with the current ROM. E.g only pickup earpieces? I have an ESP32 running in discovery mode which I can detect with every other piece of equipment I have except for the VIM3.

Any helpful pointers would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, VIM3 has added filtering. It can only detect external speaker devices.
Can you try other Bluetooth speaker devices.
