I use the VIM2 card and the Toneboard and I would like to get a 7.1 sound for movie viewing.
I have two analog amplifiers (Apurna Apogee) left and right lane where I enter RCA.
Today I would like to be able to power the 8 amplifiers in RCA to reproduce 7.1.
I think that the khadas tone board was not designed to output all 8 analog channels its ESS9038xx could be capable of handling with the help of additionnal components, but I cannot see in http://www.esstech.com/index.php/en/products/sabre-digital-analog-converters/audiophile-dacs/ if the TB’s dac has really that capability !
According to http://file2.dzsc.com/product/18/05/25/829029_170233543.pdf, you should not expect any analog 7.1 from the TB.
