Hi all, assuming that I have a solution for supplying power on another socket, would an usb hub plugged in the usb-c socket of the vim1 be theoretically supported by the hardware and Linux kernel ??

Yep, theoretically supported.
Just be mind that the USB-C port is also used for power supply.
