Ubuntu 24.04

Which version of system do you use? Please provide the version of the system here:

latest version

Please describe your issue below:

USB-C DP doesnt' wor

When I connect a display via DisplayPort, it doesn’t work. Even if I only connect a USB-C cable to power the display, it doesn’t work either. It seems the port isn’t even supplying voltage. With Android, even with OOWOW, I can power the display, but not with Ubuntu.

Please set up automatic login at startup according to the following steps.

  1. Open custom.conf file

    sudo vim /etc/gdm3/custom.conf

  2. Make changes according to the content highlighted in the red box in the image below:

  3. restart gdm3 service:

    sudo systemctl restart gdm3.service

Check if the screen is working properly.

Hi @Naruto-China

It power up the screen but i don’t get image trough the display port, only hdmi, also the brightness is low compared to when I connect the screen to an external power source.

I use a cable that supports DisplayPort + PD

I suspect the DP display is being recognized as the secondary screen by default. Please set up automatic login on startup according to the method I provided, observe the outcome, and give me feedback. Only then can I assist you in resolving the issue.
