Hi! I have two Tone 2 Pro devices, one from 2021 and one from 2025.
Both are used with several windows 10/11 machines and work great except for the sleep prevention thing - when the dac is plugged in the screen never turns off. For this reason I got into a habit of unplugging the tone 2 pro once I finish working with audio.
So I have this issue where when I plug in my older tone 2 pro the internal volume (the cyan rgb ring) is set to the last volume setting (or at least something low/reasonable). But for the newer one once plugged in it blinks white a couple of times and always sets its internal volume to max setting.
This is quite annoying, sometimes I forget to adjust the knob after plugging in and deafen myself by accident which is a big nuisance. What should I do to make the newer card perform like the older version that seems to store the last volume setting? What do the white blinks when the card is plugged in mean?
The firmware version of my device exhibiting the volume control issue and white blinking has a serial number starting with 43, revision v1.41. It already works with btmagic just fine. The drivers are also updated to the latest version (v5.30.0).

Hi @kenny !
I’ve successfully reflashed the mcu software via an STLink tool and it resolved the issuue. The volume is now remembered to a low value and everything seems to be working fine. Thank you for your help!
