I’ve found here Tone 1 (previously named Tone Board) schematics…
Tone 2 schematics here is empty, certainly due to Tone 2 is only comming on Q1 2021…
But what about Tone 2 Pro schematics ?
I haven’t found them nowhere…
Will Khadas Dev. Team distribute these schematics soon ?
I think this is highly unlikely due to the usage of the proprietary MQA protocol.
I suppose the MQA nonsense is (hopefully?) software only implementation on the new XMOS chip and the schematics will be identical to the non-pro Tone2.
My bad, I am glad that you are right. Creating an hardware MQA decoder would be an unnecessary effort that does not have any advantages (I guess?). Khadas states (at https://www.khadas.com/tone2pro): “The onboard XMOS XU216 processor enables bit-perfect, hardware-native, USB class II, asynchronous “unfolding” of MQA data for both web streaming and local high fidelity audio playback […]”.
I think the schematics will differ a bit between Tone 2 and Tone 2 Pro anyways, because the headphone AMP is missing (also at https://www.khadas.com/tone2pro):
“What’s the difference between Tone2 Pro and Tone2?
Tone2 = Tone2 Pro - Headphone Amp - MQA”
Perhaps, but ESS decided to do it anyway. LOL.
