I just got my tea today and while setting everything up to my preference noticed that the tea is charging from my phones usb-c port when connected regardless of how many times I change the mode by holding the power and “-“ buttons. I get the cyan flashes but it charges once turned off regardless. Is this expected? Is there a way to know what mode it’s in or does this mode selection only apply when the device is on?

The results are normal.
- Tea can not be charged from iPhone 15 / iPhone 16，and any iPhone with USB type C,when power on.
- Tea can be charged from any standard USB type C DFP, when power off.
For this design is not friendly to iPhone15 or later customers,the reason is that iPhone with lightening connection forbid power supply for any device, so tea should shut down the charge when it connect to iPhone or iPad by USB. Tea released at 2022, it is earlier than iPhone15 and iPhone16. So we did not take the chargeable of iPhone 15 or later to tea into account.
