Using OOWOW install of Ubuntu Server for EMMC

during install, ERRORS come up " Could not resolve ‘ports.ubuntu.com’
this happens 8 times then the install fails.
This happens for gparted, cgdisk, xfsprogs
I have reinstalled OS twice using OOWOW with the same results.
Can anyone help me out?
I am a noob with VIM4 but I have programmed a lot with Raspberry PI.
Moving up in the world now.
