Stag VPN Tested with Khadas VIM: Stable Remote Access via Android

Hi everyone,

I’ve been testing Stag VPN on my Android device to see how it performs with Khadas VIM boards during remote access and SSH sessions.

The results were pretty solid—minimal lag, reliable connection even over mobile networks, and no disconnections during extended terminal sessions. This could be helpful for those working on IoT, media center, or server builds where secure remote access is needed.

Has anyone else tried VPNs with Khadas setups? Would love to know your experience.

Which SBC are you using? Our board uses TVSettings, which does not support this feature. If you need this functionality, you will have to compile the native Settings app into the system.

I’m using the Khadas VIM3. Since TVSettings doesn’t support this feature, could you share any documentation or steps for compiling the native Settings app into the system? Also, is there any workaround that avoids rebuilding the entire image?

You need to recompile the packaged firmware. You can try the firmware below.
