SD card mount on boot

Which system do you use? Android, Ubuntu, OOWOW or others?

I have tried a couple of Ubuntu images.

Which version of system do you use? Please provide the version of the system here:

VIM4

Please describe your issue below:

I can’t get the sd card to mount on boot.

I am using a VIM4 and am wanting to use it for running klipper for a 3d printer.
If I install ubuntu to the emmc i cant get it to mount the sd card on boot. i would like to use the sd card to store the gcode files as well as the the camera stream.

I get a error about permissions during the boot and the VIM4 wont finish booting.
It allows me to go into a maintenance mode after the failure.
Im not very good with linux and dont know where to find a log file.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hello @James_Peeler

Can you mount this SD card manually after the system bootup?
e.g.

  • Boot system without SD inserted
  • Insert the SD card to board and mount it manually

I actually managed to get it to mount at startup. I added auto to the options in /etc/fstab. I apparently didn’t get something correct though. I ended up changing permissions using chmod to get it so klipper could use the file. I am however getting a weird error when running ls. ‘ervice: failed to load environment files: no such file or directory’.

So the SD card mount issue is resolved? For other issues, we suggest you to open a new topic and provide more details and we will help you there.
