When I connect to serial only GND,TXD, RXD and boot VIM, the screen is empty. When I press the power button it only shows this .

but when I connect the 5V VCC to pin 20, then press power button on board it outputs

GXM:BL1:dc8b51:76f1a5;FEAT:ADFC318C:0;POC:0;RCY:0;USB:0

then on power via the remote control, then shows

GXM:BL1:dc8b51:76f1a5;FEAT:ADFC

Not sure if the emmc is completely wiped or anyother issue. Couldn’t even put the board on upgrade mode to try usb burning tool

Does this are all the logs you have?

Yup, this is all I see in the serial output.

Led light on my board does not stay up. It blinks once everytime I press the power button other than that its just completely off.

Why you connect 5V to PIN20? it is voltage output of 3.3V.

Yeah, it was dumb move. I was following this and there was only unprintable char ( .), I saw there was a VCC in the last row and thought it may be missing the required power or something and connected this.

Is there anyother way to power the board other than USB-C via the GPIO to check if it helps ?
How about PIN1 and 2 ?

Hello @Ganesh

Please double check whether the board is damaged?

  • Power the board with USB-C adaptor
  • Connect the serial debug tool, don’t connect the VCC
  • Clean up the serial debug console
  • Wait 1min and provide all the serial debug log to us

Hello @Ganesh, any luck with booting brick?

I have almost the same situation after I click on factory reset in oowow menu.

I’m 100% sure that the board was completely working before I choose factory reset.

How to flash it again? I think I erase u-boot

Hello @andrew.ostroumov

Could you provide the board hardware version to us ?

Hello @numbqq, could you explain how to get version of hardware without any working shell? On the back side of board?

Hello @andrew.ostroumov

Yes, you can find the silk from the board.

Hi @numbqq ,
I have connected the power and the serial console and waited for 5 mins, there was no log and the led light was solid blue all the time. my board version is VIM2 v1.2.

Then pressed the power button and got one unprintable char in serial console, thats it. I dont see any physical damage on the board.

Thanks,
Ganesh

Hello @Ganesh

Maybe your board is damaged due to you connect the unexperted 5V voltage to PIN20 (3.3V).

Our after-salse team will help you later. I have send you PM, please check and reply.

Hello @numbqq, I have VIM3 and log line repeat every couple of seconds this:

LOOP:1;EMMC:0;READ:0;CHK:1F;READ:0;CHK:1F;READ:0;CHK:1F;SD?:20000;USB:8;

It seems no system available in the eMMC, please follow the documeatation to install the OS.
