Restore OOWOW onto SPI

Which system do you use? Android, Ubuntu, OOWOW or others?

Ubuntu, OOWOW

Which version of system do you use? Khadas official images, self built images, or others?

Khadas official.

Please describe your issue below:

I attempted to install UEFI to the SPI flash according to a guide seen somewhere and I probably botched it hard. End result is that I lost OOWOW and eMMC only booted after a MaskROM-mode flash with RKDevTool on Windows. I’m trying to get OOWOW back, but can’t for the life of me make the board boot out of USB.

I need to have detailed instructions for the USB boot. Is the USB2.0 port okay, or is the USB3.1 port the one supposed to be used? Or perhaps the USB-C one?

Is the boot order on all the Ubuntu images as documented, namely they try usb0 first, then mmc1, then mmc0…?

Could a OOWOW image be crafted specially for restoring into eMMC and from there something could be flashed to SPINOR?

I can’t get a serial log yet since I don’t have any of the accessory boards, so I’m just stumped. I have no clue why USB boot is failing. I’m not even entirely sure it ever worked. The images were flashed to the thumb drive using dd.

Alternative way use OOWOW and install UEFI into eMMC

Hyhop just one thing (minor thing) your rkdev 2.96 is in chinese and ‘needs’ changed on the config .txt file.
(Idk if it wouldnt be better to replicate its link to one already changed to English).

Much obliged! I found your script literally 2 minutes after making this post. Thank you and great job!
