Problems if you change the trigger load.

Hi there! There is a device Khadas VIM2 and it has a number of problems.

  1. Once I get into the u-boot settings the device stops loading and colsole gives the following:

kbi trigger [wol|rtc|ir|dcin|key|gpio] w <0|1> - disable/enable boot trigger

kbi trigger [wol|rtc|ir|dcin|key|gpio] r - read mode of a boot trigger

kvim2#kbi trigger dcin w 1

kvim2#kbi trigger wol w 1

This goes on and on and on. If I enter recovery and boot into bootloader from there, there are no such problems. But trigger dcin doesn’t works after all. After firmware upgrades of the device, it turns on, but the trigger also does not work.

hi, Roman, may i know this info:

  • which version your mcu firmware?
to get the version, you can type:
kvim2#kbi version
version: 05
  • which version your android/ubuntu firmware?

  • may i have your VIM2 picthure ? (I am not sure is any peripheral devices will be connect to VIM2)

thanks

Hello! This happens on different firmwares. To bring the device to working state, I have to reinstall the OS and so every time.

do you mean:

  • first question: once you set wol , dcin couldn’t work, right?
this operation is considering this state:
while wol was set, a abnormal power cut off, system need reinitialize wol to wait for a wake-up-on-LAN signal to startup. (remote server usage scenario need this operation).
so, once wol was set, after power on, VIM2 will reinitialize “wol” and then poweroff to wait for wake-up-on-LAN signal to startup.(or you can press power key,IR(if set enable)… to startup):yum:
you can disable wol to make dcin enable.
kvim2#kbi trigger wol w 0
  • second question: there so much log print after system poweroff, right?
    image
i am not very sure this problem, still need more info.
may be VIM2 connect to a serial tool, and the serial tool have for line:VCC,RX,TX,GND?
maybe some peripheral was connect to VIM2. could you sent a picture for me ?

thanks
