Power problems with mind 2

I apologize for the late response.

Due to size constraints, our Mind series uses a 5.55Wh battery which has relatively limited capacity. This results in faster power consumption for the Mind devices. Currently, the standby power consumption in shutdown status is approximately 30mW (as some chips like the EC remain operational). This means:

  • The 5.55Wh battery at 100% charge can sustain the Mind device in shutdown status for about 180 hours
  • 5% battery level can maintain shutdown status for approximately 9 hours
This is within normal operating parameters.

We’re actively optimizing shutdown power consumption and expect to release a BIOS update soon that will reduce standby power draw, thereby extending the Mind’s operational duration in shutdown status.

thank you Zihao for your response. i’m delighted to hear that you are working on it. i would hope that even if the battery is completely drained, that the Mind would still run when connected to power.

Based on your previous description:
‘When the power adapter is directly connected to the Mind device, there are no Power problems.’
May I confirm that the charging problem currently persists only when using the Mind Dock connection, but functions normally with direct Mind charging?

when the power is off and Mind disconnected from the dock, the power drain is still there. it doesn’t seem to matter whether the dock is connected or not. i would like to know what happens if the mind is stored for a long time and the battery is completely drained, will it still function when connected to power?

Similar to smartphones, the device can still be powered on when connected to a charger even after the battery is fully depleted

thank you. please keep working on reducing the power drain when the Mind is powered down. thanks, Mark
