Mind Xplay on Linux

Hi all,

I am curious on the new Xplay. I am a Mind 1 user running Linux.

Will I have any issues using the new Xplay with Linux?

Everything working as it should without Windows?

Thanks, John

I am sitting on the fence considering buying Xplay. No response here?

It should work

Thank you!

So, you can confirm you have not developed any software for the solution that would require Windows? Drivers etc. Sound, power management etc. all working?

Hello @pipati

No extra drivers needed.

I am running Debian 13 on my Mind 2 (155H). It works perfectly. Sound, trackpad and everything works well. The only issue that I have found is that there is no way to check the xPlay’s battery. I am getting about 3+ Hours of use with screen brightness @ 75% and power management at Balanced. I do have external batteries that extend the xPlay/Mind2 to 8+ Hours which works for me.

Thanks. I also got mine last week. I am running Fedora 43 Cosmic on it, and everything works fine. Nice screen! I do not use it without power very often, so have not tested the battery life much. I’ve had trouble turning off sound via HDMI to external screen, but this is a linux issue, not the Xplay.
