Which system do you use?
Mind 2 K1018 (U7 155H; 64GB; Win11 Home; BIOS 1.07)
Graphics 2 A1026 (5060 Ti 16GB; Firmware 1.09)
Nvidia GeForce Studio Driver 596.36
The “khadas-nv-43-fix” was applied successfully.
Please describe your issue below:
I followed the bundled instructions and experienced the “Graphics card driver abnormal” error cycle. I then found forum posts describing the used of the khadas-nv-43-fix, and now for the most part the system is functioning correctly. I can use screens plugged into every video out port, and I can use USB devices in every USB port, as well as the ethernet port.
The Nvidia app and the Mind app and Device Manager all report everything to my expectations.
However. The moment I ask the system to perform anything with 3d (games, Blender, even transparency in Affinity), every fan in the Graphics 2 spins up to full and the system crashes, losing video output and USB connections. It remains in a crash state until I hold the power on Mind for several seconds, shutting down the whole system.
I have not tried ComfyUI to test AI compute rather than 3d. When detached from Graphics 2, the Arc iGPU in the Mind 2 continues to function just fine. Per the instructions included with khadas-nv-43-fix I initially tried the Game Ready Driver 576.52, and have since updated to Studio Driver 596.36 as part of troubleshooting, and both exhibit the same issues.
Something else annoying but not mission-critical is that the system logo and boot spinner don’t show on screens attached to Graphics 2. It seems the OS needs to load drivers before outputting to them?
Thanks for help,
- Jasmine
