Having to do this on my phone so sorry for the bad formatting and shortness.
I have 2 separate mind 2 computers. This last weekend I shut both off because we were away for the weekend. I came home today and neither will stay booted. Within seconds of booting they crash with a different error each time.
I immediately decided to try a recovery USB drive to try a windows repair (because win11 is ass) and it still crashes. I can’t even attempt a repair before black screen.
The most common error I get is ‘Stop code: IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (0xA)’ but I also get one with ‘Stop code: SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION (0x3b)’
Again, I get this even on the recovery USB so I can’t even begin to do normal troubleshooting.
Well I got memtest86+ running and I have a flood of memory errors. How the fuck do I get this just from shutting down the system and not touching it for a couple of days??
Here is a screenshot from the first system. I will provide one from the other when I get a chance to run the test on it.
Completed the full test with no other issues. Did a full shutdown and booted back into memory test. Ran it only on the 14-16gb range no issues. Restarted test on all memory and it crashed at the 9gb addresses…
I feel like win11 did a chipset driver update and that is what has nuked my system. Is there anyway to install older chipset firmware by USB drive at BIOS?
