LTE modems working with VIM3L+M2X EXTENSION

Thank you, I will look into it and come back with the logs.

Anyone that can guide me in the world of minicom? Terry recommended to try “change the usbnet mode to 0 on ubuntu system, then update the android system” following this guide: https://docs.khadas.com/vim3/HowToUseLTEModule.html

But after starting minicom it just goes in a “listening” loop or similar, I cant execute any commands:

khadas@Khadas:~$ sudo minicom -D /dev/ttyUSB2

Welcome to minicom 2.7.1

OPTIONS: I18n
Compiled on Dec 23 2019, 02:06:26.
Port /dev/ttyUSB2, 09:01:25

Typed in the command without any visual characters showing, hit enter and got the answer OK. Guess its OK then

Edit: @Terry Looks like it worked setting the usbnet mode to 0 on ubuntu system and flashing android again. Thanks for your help!

I’ve had exactly the same issue as Makro, trying the minicom fix now then reflashing via USB to Android again. Will update this thread with my results.

Question, since changing the USBMode to PCIe in Android and adding the boot logo, KRescue no longer boots from SD, for that matter nothing boots from the SD card slot. Is this normal?

@ethanfe did you reactivate upgrade mode ?

please use KEYS MODE for Quickly setting upgrade mode

cheers

Setting usbnet to 0 in Ubuntu and then re-flashing android didnt work for me. I was able to get LTE radio data through third party apps so communication to the Quectel card, but could not set the APN, the android interface would crash. I tried all the versions that could be flashed over USB-C, same issue. Hence the second part of my question, I needed to get back into Krescue.

In regards to booting back into KRescue, somehow I must have set the board to default to eMMC. It ignored any SD card. I reflashed Uboot to EMMC via the USB-C method and it booted from KRescue right away. (Thanks for tolerating my off topic element)

Ah I see where the problem arises from, good to see it fixed,

That has happened to me as well, I think its still WIP
