Kahdas Mind Creator Kit (258V) does not boot, flashing red

Hi,
I bought a Khadas Mind Creator Kit (Lunar Lake 258V) 1 month ago.
I had to reinstall windows after instability issues with Bluetooth and WiFi, which removed the Mind App.
3 days ago, I disconnected the Mind from the power supply for a meeting then left it as such for the night. Since then, it flashes red (slow when unplugged, fast when plugged) and does not boot (at all, nothing on the screen, no ventilation when pushing on the power button…).
I tried to push the power button quickly, for a few seconds, for 10s, even for more than 30 to reset the BIOS, to no avail.
I tried to let it charge by leaving it on the provided power adaptor, then to let it drain by leaving it for 36h unplugged, nothing…
To be noted, when I keep the button pressed, after 10s the light goes white, then turn yellow, then off, then this cycle repeats. When I release it starts flashing red again.
The issue is the same be it powered by the dock or directly.
Any hint on what to do?

Hi,
Update 3 days after unplugging, the battery drained and it works again after letting it recharge. I’ll update if it fails again.
I have reinstalled the Mind App hoping it does a good job with power management to prevent this issue from happening again.
Edit: issue happened again, no real reason found yet. 2 days to wait until reboot is possible. It’s really becoming a hindrance.

Hi, can you provide your BIOS version number?
We tried to reproduce this issue after your feedback on this issue, and we have now pinpointed it to be a BIOS issue, and the latest version 1.03 of the BIOS in Mind APP has been able to fix this issue.

Hi,
I just checked I’m on 1.01 but I have no update available in the Mind App nor at dl.khadas.com
If the bios update can fix it I’d be glad! I had to open it, unplug the battery from the Motherboard and replug it before I could restart it (I can’t afford to not work for 2 days waiting for the battery to drain every time).
That did the job for now, hope the bios update can fully fix it when it’s available to download

Can you provide us with your e-mail address?
We are releasing BIOS version 1.04 on December 30th, it will be sent to your email address.

I have a mail exchange with support and Hemjoe Wei, so they have my references.
Thanks for your help, I’ll mark the topic closed once I check for a few days that it’s fixed!

After a few days of testing the new bios, no more issues.
Thanks for your help!
