I’m using edge2. Is it possible to install Windows in addition to Android and Ubuntu provided by OOWOW? Also, if it is possible to install it, please tell me the detailed steps.
@miso-niki it is not possible to have multiple OS in the eMMC, with Android you can boot Ubuntu from an external disk however with Ubuntu or Windows you can’t boot anything else.
Can I install Windows if there is no OS installed?
Yes you can install it
Sorry, I don’t know much about this so I decided to ask here. Could you please tell me the detailed steps?
No issues @miso-niki ,
Just power on the device, with no OS installed it should boot into OOWOW.
You can follow the online scripts guide to pick out the Windows Installer Script
https://docs.khadas.com/software/oowow/how-to/online-scripts
After which it will proceed to install windows on your device, however please note that the windows image is just a beta testing image, and is not ready for everyday usage.
Please note that standard windows from microsoft is not supported on the Edge2, a specially modified version needs to be used to run on the board.
Regards.
Could you please teach me how to use the online script?
@miso-niki just follow the guide, it provides all the necessary instruction:
- Boot into OOWOW and make sure Internet connection is established
- Navigate to online scripts
- Inside there should be a folder for edge2
- Pick the Windows install script
- Patiently wait for the download and install
Excuse me, how can I access the online script?
@miso-niki it is a menu in the oowow menu list, to go to the oowow menu, just skip the oowow wizard menu by pressing exit
You access edge2 from your computer, right? How do I access it?
@miso-niki you need to connect with the USB C port near the Antennas to your computer, and also connect power to the other USB-C port as it may not be able to obtain the necessary power from just the PC.
A device should appear as USB ethernet tether device,
Then open the web console, by going to the web address
