How to 'see' the M.2 SS drive on the VIM3 POE Expansion Board

I’ve been playing with most of the new releases/distros for the VIM3, but can’t seem to ‘see’ the M.2 drive on the POE expansion board. Is there an image that ‘activates’ the expansion board, or are there some script entries that need to be run first.
