Fan control is Khadas Edge V

Product - Khadas Edge V Pro
OS - Ubuntu 20.04 Fenix 1.1.1

It seems that the Fan Control described in - Edge1 Cooling Fan [Khadas Docs]

Is not working properly. both from the fan.sh script and the “fan” service, we get the following messages (even if we are on Root) -

fan.sh[2249]: /usr/local/bin/fan.sh: line 106: /sys/class/hwmon/hwmon0/mode: Permission denied
fan.sh[2249]: /usr/local/bin/fan.sh: line 107: /sys/class/hwmon/hwmon0/enable: Permission denied

Any ideas? How can we control the fan?

It seems that the files “mode” and “enable” dont even exist.
