Extreme cooling help

I don’t have my VIM with me now

Ok no problem, If anyone else is willing to try, please do it…

if I’m not mistaken, they have assembled their own 64 bit system

with amlogic’s closed source development, yes…

Nah its regular old linux with ubuntu

@Electr1 Why can’t you just test …?

well I guess it is time to get to work…
be back in a few minutes, time to put on my speed junkie hat :crazy_face:

I honestly don’t follow them, so somewhere the information flashed
:grin:

Ok, great result guys!

With the Black Shark set to “frozen” mode, and swapping our 2W/m^2 thermal pad for the 8.5W/m^2 Arctic Silver paste, we’re getting 33C at maximum CPU frequency.

The temperatures are still dropping, albeit slowly now!

@Electr1 unfortunately all we have lying around here is an iron block.

@tsangyoujun the cooler is way too far from the Chipset, we need to bring them closer…

I say chop that block into 3 pieces…

That will probably increase the speed of cooling, however the stabilisation temperature could remain the same.

it remains to figure out how to firmly attach this tower so that it does not collapse on a defenseless board
:see_no_evil::grin:

If it doesn’t hurt to try, I would say give it a chance, I am going to test the Overclocked ROM for VIM3 right now, hope it works…

Yeah, poor RK3399 crushed while obtaining the temperature of the first two digits of its name, 33° Celsius…

Perhaps it would be easier to put this fan on a branded radiator from Khadas?

although, yes, it’s extreme cooling!
:sweat_smile:

@Archangel1235 when we were trying to overclock a while ago you said that the device halted before giving the log with “OPTEED FAST” right ?

Which kind of firmware where you using ? SD image or eMMC image ?

Yeah, Khadas team please help us out,
@tsangyoujun you are the chosen one, you must help us to do this, I ask you on behalf of all the speed junkies like me who exist on this forum :relaxed:

yes, otherwise, “addicts” will not leave alone

:face_with_hand_over_mouth::blush:

…and, I am one of those speed addicts,
:sob:

What else can I say, I just want my VIM3 to be fast and snappy…

Okay I have flagged this addictive post, so the engineers can give more feedback. :stuck_out_tongue:

Thank you so much :blush:,
please remind them to give us Android and Linux overclocking capabilities…
