2 years later, is the above explanation still correct?

I have a VIM4 running Khadas’s Android build and I’m trying to use a USB-C to HDMI dongle (an AVACON 6-in-1 USB C to dual HDMI adapter Hub). At the moment I’m not getting any video from the screens. Does the VIM4’s lack of video support over USB-C means it can never work?
