External CD-ROM connected via USB to VIM2

Hello,

I tried to use an external CD-ROM drive via USB to VIM2 Max, but CD-ROM continuously disconnects and connects every second.

How can solve this issue?

I am using VIM2_Nougat_V171028 ROM.
I don’t have any problems with this external CD-ROM drive if I connect it to Windows PC.

I would guess you don’t have enough power. Mine is USB 2 and works fine but has separate power feed.

You can try the usb port next to the switches (as that can provide more power than the one next to the ethernet socket).

I connected CD-ROM to external power supply. Now the power seems ok, but I still can’t read audio CDs on VIM2.
Maybe there is an easy way to play audio CDs on this android tv box?
