Hello Folks,

We are excited to announce that the mainline kernel version 6.12.4 for Ubuntu 24.04 is now available for Edge2. You can install it online using OOWOW.

NOTE: This is a development test release, not a final version. Please be aware of potential bugs and report any issues you encounter.

Changelog:

  • New additions from Mainline Kernel 6.12.4:
    • Panfrost GPU support.

Known Issues:

  • Sound card support is still being worked on (Work in Progress).
  • MIPI screens are not working (Work in Progress).
  • MIPI + HDMI dual display not functional (Work in Progress).
  • MIPI cameras are not working (Work in Progress).
  • Overlays are not ready (Work in Progress).

This image is built using Fenix scripts, you can use it to build your own image!
