I have been using the Edge2 with a power bank that can deliver the correct V and A. As I was going to start using the Edge2 more stationaryly, I connected it to the official adapter I bought.
I connected the device to the adapter, and it turned off. After that, the device does not turn on anymore. I have tried with my power bank, and I only see the system light blink very briefly and then turn off. No other LED is on.
I thought it could be the IO module2 I am using to save files on the SD card, but that is not the case. I disconnected all devices and tried again, and the result was the same.
I need help with this issue. The Edge2 was using the official Ubuntu 22.04.
I have unplugged the IO Module 2 and the Khadas os08a10 camera to see if the problem was coming from them, but it still does not turn on. I forgot to mention I have the Edge2 Maker Kit Pro.
I would appreciate your help in solving this issue.
I have followed the steps you suggested. However, my PC host cannot recognize the Edge2 device when connected.
In the docs to flash the eMMC, it mentions that when connecting the Edge2 (before enabling the TST mode), the board should turn on automatically. It does not happen for my Edge2. Nevertheless, I followed the next steps and triggered the TST mode.
The problem is that neither a PC host with Ubuntu 22.04, Fedora 39, nor Windows 11 seems to recognize the board in normal or TST mode. I follow the docs to try to flash the OS in these systems. In the case of Windows, a notification appears saying that the USB device cannot be recognized and that it might be faulty. In the case of the Linux hosts, the dmesg log shows error messages like:
[ 3522.238155] usb 1-11: Device not responding to setup address.
[ 3522.442444] usb 1-11: Device not responding to setup address.
[ 3522.649459] usb 1-11: device not accepting address 75, error -71
[ 3522.649590] usb usb1-port11: unable to enumerate USB device
Maybe I am missing something. I also tried to use the UART mode to enable the TST mode, but the driver khadas provided for the UART device in Windows seems to be old and causes incompatibility.
In your previous message, you mentioned Supply the power with port 5. Did you mean port 4? Port 5 is a USB type A.
After I connect the board powered and via USBC, and trigger the TST mode with the FUNC button I don’t see any changes with the lsusb command. I only see the usual USBC devices I have connected to the host.
The documentation says that I should see a Rockchip device listed when using the right lsusb but I don’t see any new device.
Thank you, @numbqq , I have sent your team an email with all the problem details and the order confirmation I received when I bought the board and adapter.
