Please describe your issue below:

Hi, I’m new to Khadas boards so sorry if I’m missing something obvious!

Trying to flash my Edge2 via USB Maskrom mode, but my PC doesn’t detect the board at all — nothing shows up, not even as unknown device.

How I entered Maskrom:

  • Connected via Type C port 2 (USB 3.1 & DP port, not PD-only)
  • I tried normal Maskrom enter method: press FUNCTION 3 times after power on
  • Seems like it worked? — HDMI shows “no signal” and fan isn’t spinning

What I tried:

  • Reinstalled RKDevTool v3.37 + Driver Assistant v5.13 (admin)
  • Different USB-A ports on PC
  • Tested on both Windows 11 and a Linux machine — nothing shows up on either (lsusb empty too)

Could it be a hardware defect, or is there something else I should try first? I’ve heard UART might help diagnose this, but I’m a beginner about Khadas board and not quite sure how to set it up — I’d really appreciate any guidance. Thanks!

Nothing…

@ckgun ,
Can you provide me with a video of your operation?

@william.lin Sure, I’ll share the video here.

In addition to what was done in the video, I tested more things, and in all cases RkDevTools still shows “No Device Found.” (After entering maskrom mode, the device isn’t recognized on my Windows 11 desktop. It’s the same on Linux too.)

  • Connect with a new cable
  • Connect the cable to the back of the desktop
  • Entered maskrom mode with the power supplied

Thanks for the reply! Please let me know if I have anything else to test.

@ckgun ,

No MASKROM Device is showing up?

Yes, only shows “No Device Found”.

I don’t have a UART cable, so it’s hard to check the logs…

Anything else I should check? Or would it be okay if I send the board to the Khadas office for you to check?

Thanks for the support!
