Edge2 Linux Dual Monitor Difficulties

Which system do you use? Android, Ubuntu, OOWOW or others?

Ubuntu, OOWOW, and Armbian

Which version of system do you use? Please provide the version of the system here:

Distributor ID:	Ubuntu
Description:	Ubuntu 24.04.1 LTS
Release:	24.04
Codename:	noble

Linux edge2 6.12.4+ #1.7.2 SMP PREEMPT Wed Dec 18 14:08:26 CST 2024 aarch64 aarch64 aarch64 GNU/Linux

Please describe your issue below:

I have not been successful with dual displays under Ubuntu or Armbian. In OOWOW I can see both displays mirrored. However, once in Ubuntu the Settings->Displays only shows one monitor (HDMI) while the USB-C monitor shows no-signal. Am I missing something in the setup?

Setups that I have tried without success:
Anker USB-C to HDMI to various displays.
UGreen USB-C port expander with HDMI to various displays.
USB-C capable displays (Samsung, Lilliput, others).

6.12 is mainline image and MIPI screen is not supported. Please use the image with 6.1 kernel.

@numbqq I am not using the MIPI screen. If you look at my message you will see I am talking about using the HDMI plus the USB-C output. Not the MIPI.

Oops, sorry, what’s the resolution of your screens? Do you have the same issue when use the 6.1 kernel image?

Just tested with the 6.1 kernel and dual screen is working with the USB-C display.

Do you know why it would work in the 6.1 but not the newer kernel? Do you intend to support dual display in the newer kernels going forward?

Thank you.
