Using Android 13 for Edge 2 (latest image) from OOWOW, installed yesterday…

Is there any way to disable root, so that programs like Netflix will allow DRM content to be played? Thanks.

@allquixotic There’s no way, all the firmware we produce comes with root privileges.

@allquixotic You can try Kodi with the Netflix addon.

Or you can use Magisk root to disable root to install the Netflix app from here
But you will need to flash the patched boot.img separately, not easy for normal users.

but it is still going to be limited to 480p quality.

You could look into Stremio + RD perhaps for educational purposes.
