Which system do you use? Android, Ubuntu, OOWOW or others?
Android
Which version of system do you use? Please provide the version of the system here:
14 from OOWOW, the newest
Please describe your issue below:
Hello! Recently I thought of swapping my Ubuntu for Android, and after the initial boot (which went fine and I would get in), the board won’t boot.
I tried both of my powerbanks and the charger, all of which were working before, and both usb-c ports.
After I plug the cable in, the power led flashes for a split-second, then nothing. If I press and hold the power button, after several seconds, the power led starts glowing red.
I am not able to actually power it on afterwards, and the key combination for OOWOW doesn’t do anything, so I don’t know where to go from there.
@Narrator ,
We have tested the edge2-android-14-v250708 version in our office and it appears to be functioning correctly. Would you be able to provide a video to assist us in our troubleshooting?
I realised that the led flashing at the beginning was so brief that it disappeared after I reduced fps from 30 to 24 to make the video smaller.
I edited the video, but can’t post it again from the same site and now my original post got hidden too.
What to do? I don’t have an account in any video sharing platforms…
@Narrator ,
That is indeed a rather unusual issue. Are you following the operations in the video below, where the device fails to boot after updating the Android system?
- Can you connect an HDMI display to check if there is any output?
- Can you flash the system via USB?

Hello!
I looked at the video, but I’m not able to access OOWOW via the key combination at all. I have a suspicion that the upgrade mode probably won’t either if OOWOW won’t load.
- I have been using a m usb-c display, and it does not show anything, and there is no moment in which the fan would start running. (Under normal circumstances it does a short burst when the system starts booting)
- I can try to trigger the upgrade mode based on that manual, once I get back home. I don’t have a regular computer as the Edge2 was supposed to act as one before I discovered the limitations it has as an ARM device, but I have a Rpi4. Can one fastboot into the Edge2 using a Pi? If not, I will have to wait. I will have a laptop delivered later this week.
Hello,
I am unable to enter the upgrade mode either.
Could it be an unfortunately timed hardware fault?
