Hello @Abraham_Salazar @VladimirMbf
You must use this verison of Ubuntu image? VIM3_Ubuntu-gnome-focal_Linux-4.9_arm64_EMMC_V1.0.10-220108.img.xz
The issue is this image not compatible with the new hardware, if you must use it, then I will provide a repacked image to you.
@Abraham_Salazar , thank you so much for your image, I will try it
@numbqq yes please if you could make repack it would be great, because I think many people can search it because of this https://groups.google.com/g/doubango-ai/c/Q8C6cZnObtU

Hello @VladimirMbf
I can’t find that image on my side, could you provide the orignal xz image VIM3_Ubuntu-gnome-focal_Linux-4.9_arm64_EMMC_V1.0.10-220108.img.xz
to me?
The image from the above link seems encrypted?
$ file VIM3_Ubuntu-gnome-focal_Linux-4.9_arm64_EMMC_V1.0.10-220108.img
VIM3_Ubuntu-gnome-focal_Linux-4.9_arm64_EMMC_V1.0.10-220108.img: GPG encrypted data
right now, I successfully using target image from sd card - downloaded from right here - https://doubango.org/khadas_images/VIM3_Ubuntu-server-focal_Linux-4.9_arm64_SD-USB_V1.0.9-211217.img.xz
@numbqq can you please focus on this image version - VIM3_Ubuntu-server-focal_Linux-4.9_arm64_SD-USB_V1.0.9-211217.img
because it’s right target image for alpr solution
You can see requirement of alpr here - ultimateALPR-SDK/AmlogicNPU.md at master · DoubangoTelecom/ultimateALPR-SDK · GitHub

Can you check with this image ?
BTW, Have you checked with latest version?
is it possible to get emmc image from
https://dl.khadas.com/products/vim3/firmware/ubuntu/generic/old/vim3_ubuntu-server-focal_linux-4.9_arm64_sd-usb_v1.0.9-211217-repack.img.xz ?
Because I have troubles to convert from already loaded linux 4.9 211217 from sd-usb as the source to emmc through emmc-install script (this solution not worked for me) - Write SD Image into eMMC [Khadas Docs]
also I tried latest (all two 4.9 server - fenix 1.4 and 1.5) images for emmc from here dl.khadas.com - Index of /products/vim3/firmware/ubuntu/emmc/
these images are not working with npu solution (gives an error)
it would be great to get repacked 4.9 211217 but for emmc (not for sd) image please
@numbqq yes please this is the compressed image img.xz
If you can repack for me, I would really appreciate it.
or if you can covert this sd image to emmc, also work for me too:
https://dl.khadas.com/products/vim3/firmware/ubuntu/generic/old/vim3_ubuntu-server-focal_linux-4.9_arm64_sd-usb_v1.0.9-211217-repack.img.xz
thanks
