Hello! you will need to do everything through the Krescue tool, this is an invention of the esteemed Hyphop :wink:

Still something went wrong by now.
We downloaded the file – VIM1.Android_Nougat_V180619.emmc.kresq
Copied it to SD card.
Plug this SD card into SD slot.
Started the VIM1 device and … nothing new happens.
It started just as ever – with the same Khadas logo.
What we did wrong?

Hello @Valts,
This is an emmc image which needs to be flashed using Krescue software. Please follow the below steps.

  • Download Kresque from here VIM1.krescue.sd.img.gz. Flash it to your sd card using etcher software.
  • Download VIM1.Android_Nougat_V180619.emmc.kresq
    Copy it to the dump partition on your sd card on which you flashed the VIM1.krescue.sd.img.gz file.
  • Insert the sd card in your Vim1 device, if it doesnt boot into krescue screen then follow the multiboot key mode from here
  • Once inside krescue screen you will see Image to emmc. Follow that and select the VIM1.Android_Nougat_V180619.emmc.kresq file. This will flash it to the emmc.
  • Reboot. (Remember to remove the sd card)

I think this is clear steps to get it to flash on emmc.

(we are not so fast yet :blush:, we are still like students – thinking 5 times before acting 1 time :blush:)
(also current global situation are … making impact on our daily schedules)
But concerning the matter – Yes! Victory! – it starts now without logos.
It was still bit not so easy – we succeeded only with third attempt. But it’s done!

Dear Friends,
After celebration of this success, we start to put together thoughts on next purchase of Your units and … to our great surprise it appears that we can not find … Portrait mode :smiley:
(I am totally confused – how did I miss it previously)
Usually on Androids (we have met so far) it is in – Settings : Display : Screen rotation. There are usually 4 options – 0, 90, 180, 270 degrees.
We looked through all the Settings on Your VIM1, but still did not find the possibility to get the Portrait mode.
What we are missing/doing wrong?
Please – we are confused indeed.

We did it by Krescue and using Your smart mastered VIM1.Android_Nougat_V180619.emmc.kresq through the SD card. Thank You once again.

does anyone have the latest Firmware of Pie for vim 3L and vim3 without boot khadas logo and without Model in about section description of the model (vim 3…khadas…)
