Recently, BitLocker has suddenly started detecting hardware changes at startup. This occurs when the device is docked, detached from the dock, and during morning startups when the battery is dead. Is there a way to avoid this?

BitLocker is a Microsoft security detection mechanism. If you do not require this feature, you can choose to disable it. The path to disable BitLocker on Windows: Settings → Privacy & Security → Device Encryption → Disable device encryption options.
Bitlocker needs to be turned on according to the company’s security policies, so it cannot be turned off. It is possible temporarily, though.
Could it be that the Mind2 lacks an RTC and a dedicated backup battery? If that is the case, wouldn’t BitLocker inevitably kick in whenever the system reboots with an incorrect time due to a dead battery?

I just disabled bitlocker as each time I disconnected from the graphics dock I was getting the dreaded “BitLocker recovery key required” - no issues since - I only use it for general PC use and some semi portable gaming though, so be aware of the security risks is all.

BitLocker is a Microsoft security mechanism that is triggered when the system detects anomalies—such as data read/write errors or changes to security-related hardware. Hardware-type changes may trigger it randomly; it is not guaranteed to activate on every such change.
Since this behavior comes from Microsoft’s BitLocker security mechanism itself, we are currently in discussion with Microsoft to explore better system-level security solutions.
Recommendation: For users who do not require this encryption feature in the short term, you can disable it via Settings > Privacy & security > Device encryption. Alternatively, safely record and store your BitLocker recovery key for future use.
