Batocera.linux emulation station

Has anyone booted this? I’ve had no luck with the generic s905x version - even with a kvim dtb.

any reason of use this poroject if we have already other retro OSes ?

lakka or emuelec its same retroarch emulators  plz check kresq images

Err, because people want to use whatever distro they want !! … The Odroid C2 image will probably run fine on a VIM1 as long as the device-tree is available. GXBB and GXL devices have a lot in common hardware-wise.

  1. sometimes people dont know about already existing systems

Thank you - I tried the distros you mentioned but found emuelec to be a bit too buggy especially with my Bluetooth controller.

Batocera seems to have lots of nice features if it would boot on kvim 1

Can someone show me or tell me how to install batocera on vim 2 plz

i will check Batocera.linux how its works

and i will integrate it too into krescue online scripts for easy installation into eMMC

at this moment why not try simple lakka from krescue like a easy ways
https://dl.khadas.com/Firmware/Krescue/images/VIM2.LAKKA.2.3.pre.emmc.kresq

may be later i will update image for VIMx to latest lakka

Which type of the VIM are you using? I got Batocera running on a VIM3L. However, I did have to install the uboot using the oowow tool first and also had to download the "“Amlogic S905 tvbox gen3” image and flash it with etcher to an SD-card.

i have plans to check last images from lakka and will provide it via oowow installation if its will be suitable
