Please describe your issue below:

Will the Android 11 sources provided by Khadas be updated with the latest security patches from AOSP?

Current Android 11 sources provided by Khadas are based on Release 40. This was released by AOSP in Aug 02 2021. From this point, no security updates have been included in the Khadas repository.

See Android Security Bulletin page https://source.android.com/docs/security/bulletin/asb-overview

Our view is that the system provider (Khadas) is the most suitable party for keeping the upstream repository updated for their customers (instead of forcing all individual customers to do duplicate work).

Android 11 will be deprecated at some time in the future. Is there any plan to migrate to a later Android version? (e.g. Android 14 was released in October 2023)

@xavier 1. We will not proactively update AOSP patches because we are afraid of potential risks. But we will keep updating the patch for amlogic, and if amlogic updates the AOSP patch, we will also update it.
2. Currently, amlogic has released Android 13 version code. This is a major project and will take a long time. At present, there are no plans to update.
